Do market research to identify potential clients – the first step is to determine the local businesses in your vicinity by going through the yellow pages, directories or the internet. From the research you made, you can then decide on what type of product you would like to get yourself into. Be ready with your portfolio – When setting appointments with prospective clients, it would be helpful to have a portfolio of your work to show them.
