Custom event specific welcome note (create unique marketing incentives)

Introducing the ability to add an event specific welcome note

If you are using our event email login feature and we certainly recommend you do… you already are building an email list and foundation to market your galleries. Aside from any marketing automation emails you have set to the email collection feature we always send an initial email to the registering user. That email includes a link to your gallery and details of any current promotions you are running. The new Welcome note feature makes is possible to add a custom note to that initial email. You may even want to add a custom coupon that ties in with a current promotion.

Prompt clients at events to visit your online galleries
What's fun about this is you can prompt clients at onsite events to login online to get an early bird special offer. This provides incentive for your clients to find the online gallery and coupled with getting images online quickly, is a surefire way to increase sales.

Easy activation

In order to activate a unique message on your event all you need to do is login to the event and hit "Edit". Scroll all the way to the bottom of the event and look for the following "Welcome Note"  field. You can add text and or include coupon codes here as well. The email is sent as soon as clients log into your gallery. Using this in conjunction with our new QR code generator is a great way to have clients get to your galleries early and receive further updates you might have in your marketing actions.

Welcome note on events

Promote your events while the emotions are high!

The faster you post, the faster your clients view, the more sales you get from each event.

New Copyright Notice and acceptance Feature
copyright terms smaller

Customizable Copyright Notice before viewing galleries

We have a new feature that enables you to create a custom copyright notice that is shown to clients before entering your gallery. Clients can be prompted to accept the terms in order to view your gallery. Image theft can be innocent but it is most likely worthwhile to let people know that your living depends on their purchases.

Since the United States joined the Berne Convention, effective March 1, 1989, no formal notice requirement or © is mandatory for works to be protected under U.S. law. While technically U.S. law no longer requires the use of a copyright notice, there are benefits for doing so. Use of a copyright puts everyone on notice that a work is protected by copyright. If your work is infringed, if the work carries a proper notice, it’s very hard for that person to claim that they didn’t know the work was protected copyright.

The copyright notice generally consists of three elements:

  1. The symbol © (the letter C in a circle), or the word "Copyright" or the abbreviation "Copr.";
  2. The year of first publication of the work; and
  3. The name of the owner of copyright in the work.
Example: © 2001- 2020 Johnny Photographer

Example copyright notice

All images on this site are protected by U.S. copyright laws and are the property of ___________.  All rights are reserved.

You are respectfully reminded that any unauthorized copying of these images is a criminal offense.
Our photography equipment and time are very valuable. We make a living Selling pictures, not Taking pictures. Please enjoy viewing the images here but do not copy or reproduce any images by any means without a purchase or written permission.

Please respect our work and the law. We pursue copyright theft violations.
Copyright 2007-2020 John Doe – All Rights Reserved

Additional text possibility

The copyright owner, under certain circumstances, may elect statutory damages that permit a court to award damages from $750 up to $30,000, per work and increase the amount of damages up to $150,000 if willful infringement is found.

Please contact our customer support if you would like to have a custom copyright message set up for your site. We can add any text you like.

~ Did you know that any photograph created on or after January 1, 1978 is protected for the life of the author, plus 70 years. Works made for held by corporations or made for hire, anonymous & pseudonymous works are protected for 95 years from publication, or 120 from creation, whichever is shorter.

~ You should always add copyright info to your photos. You can do this by default in most cameras and this prevents your photos from potentially becoming orphan works. It's a good practice to maintain.

~ The moment you capture a photo that image is instantly copyrighted with you as the rightful owner. However, there are benefits to formally registering your work with the United States Copyright Office. Detailed information on frequently asked questions on registering your photos can be found on the Copyright Office’s website

If you would like to review the copyright notices on our site as well as copyrights that people agree to when purchasing digital images you can do so here

As always please reach out to us if you would like to discuss this feature or other ideas you have to help improve the site.
