Storefront Customization

When you sign up to Photostockplus, you receive your very own URL address and website (example. http://www.johnsmith.photostockplus.com) which you can use to promote your work and you as a photographer.

Here are some easy steps to customize your website and set up your very own online store front.

  1. Go to http://www.photostockplus.com/ and log into your account. If you are unsure how to log in, see Logging In.
  2. Click on the “My Account” tab in the left column. More options will now be available.
  3. Click on the “Customize Website”.
  4. You can now edit and customize the contents of your website.
    • Select a store front
      Click on the “Select a Store Template” tab. A new window will pop up.
      Scroll through our website templates and click on the ”Choose this template” button under the desired template.
    • Title
      Enter a title which will be shown at the top of your Photostockplus homepage and stock album pages when buyers and visitors are viewing you website.
    • Header content
      The text entered will be displayed towards the top of your Photostockplus homepage and stock album pages. Use the space in whichever way you feel most appropriate.
      Using the small icons above the field, you can change the formatting of the text, add a Photostockplus banner to help introduce various products to potential buyers (large “B” icon), a scrolling Marquee to display eye catching messages (large “M” icon”), or even various images (picture frame icon).
      For those comfortable with basic coding and who want to add other html or flash elements, click on the “Toggle editor/raw to add HTML or flash code“ link below the field for complete control. Once in the manual HTML editor, you must toggle back to the regular editor once again for the changes to be applied.
    • Content
      This field will show beneath the “Header content” on your Photostockplus homepage only. You may use this space however you see fit. The most common and suggested use is for a short bio to give your visitors a better idea of who you are and what you do best.

    • Invoice Note
      The information entered in this field will show on a customer’s invoice onec an order is placed.

    • Slideshow Music
      Use the dropdown menu to edit the music played in the background when a potential buyer is viewing a slideshow within one of your stock albums. You can preview songs by using the “Start” and “Stop” buttons.
    • Storefront Pricing Group
      Select a pricing group from the scroll down menu to set the pricing for your stock albums. See Pricing Groups for more information on pricing groups.
    • Open Event Albums in new window
      When a visitor is on your homepage, he or she can click on event albums you have chosen to feature. Once an event album is clicked, if this option is selected, it will open a new browser window for the event.
      If you would like to disable this function and have the event page loaded within the same browser as any other internal link on a page, remove the check from this option.
    • Enable Photo Comments
      Check this box if you would wish to allow viewers to post comments on what they thought of your images.
      To view or post comments, after browsing for a specific image and selecting an image, click on the ”Post/View Comments”
    • Email me when someone posts a comment
      Check this box if you would like to receive a notice when someone posts a comment on one of your images.
      Note: At any time, you may preview what your site will look like by clicking on the ”Preview” link at the bottom of the page.
  5. To save the changes made to your website, click on the “Update Store Front” button at the bottom of the page.
